What is the “best” marketing strategy?

I was working with a few clients last week talking about various online marketing strategies such as article marketing, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, blogging, press releases, etc.  More than once, I got the question, “Which one is best?”

Whenever I’m asked that question, I’m reminded of the great scene in the movie City Slickers where Curly (brilliantly played by Jack Palance) explains to Billy Crystal’s character “The meaning of life”.

Just like the meaning of life can be boiled down to “one thing”…and that one thing is different for each person, so the “best marketing strategy” is different for each business.

As a marketer, you need to test and explore all channels of marketing possible, but the ones you will find BEST will be different for you than it would be for another business in your exact same space.

So yes, there is best marketing strategy for your business.

But only you know what it is.
