  1. Excellent article, Marty, and very much in keeping with what I’ve been advocating to my own copywriting and marketing clients.

I very much appreciate your sharing the link in your thank-you to the sources who didn’t get quoted. You’re a class act.

Feel free to use me as a source for future stories on PR, marketing, business ethics, or the virtual world.

  2. @Shel – Thank you for the kind words.

I’m honored that you stopped by my blog. I’ve been reading your stuff since I first started internet marketing almost a decade ago.

Let’s keep in touch so we can collaborate on future projects such as this.

  3. Interesting article Marty. I’ve been reading so much about this lately. There was a great article in the New York Time Magazine last month that looked at it more from a “personal life” perspective.

Seems like it will get more and more tricky to keep your personal life, and your PR life, separated. Bad news for trouble makers, and people with unattractive personalities (like me).

  4. Marty, thanks for your excellent, comprehensive article. I second what Shel Horowitz said regarding your taking the time to share your link with sources who didn’t get quoted. That was exceptionally thoughtful of you.

While I agree with what you said about “do it yourself” PR being easier today, at the same time the severe time constraints on everyone along with the abundance of choices still makes it tough for the average business person to do their own PR successfully.

I look forward to reading other articles of yours in the future and please feel free to reach out again.
