Book Review: Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head

Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head

Actually, the full title of the book is…

Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head : How Disciplined, Fact-Based Marketing Can Drive Extraordinary Growth & Profits

by Kevin Clancy and Peter Krieg

Yes, a long, convoluted title, for a long convoluted book.

For regular readers of my blog and my book reviews, this review will make a point that I DON’T always recommend every book I read!

Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head bills itself as the ‘antidote for Blink”.

For those in the know, Blink is a best selling book by Malcolm Gladwell.

Calling “Gut” an antidote for Blink is actually very accurate on the part of the authors.

Both books deal with the highly critical issue of decision making…or more importantly…making the RIGHT decisions.

However, where Blink grabs you from the opening paragraph, compelling you to keep reading, “Gut” bores you from the opening paragraph, challenging you to stay awake.

Chock full of charts, detailed analysis, and dry stories, “Your Gut is Still Not Smarter Than Your Head” is one book you should stay away from…unless you REALLY hated Blink.

In which case, you might actually like this book.
